Northwood 15A vs Clifton 15A

- Lance Klusener U15 Cricket Festival

Northwood played against Clifton in an exciting T20 on the last day of the festival.

Clifton was put into bat by Northwood. It was the home team who drew first blood with a away swing delivery from Matthew Norton which crashed into Adrian Dippenaar's stumps.

Clifton took control of their innings after that and scored consistently, ending up on a very competitive total of 143/7 after their 20 overs.

Northwood had their work cut out for them but started like a house on fire, although losing a wicket early, Jed Mun-Gavin came in and with some flair, provided for much entertainment before getting out with Northwood on 70/4, still in a good position. The remaining batters struggled to get going and a good spell from young spinner Sheraaz Perumal, added to Northwood's pressure.

Northwood falling short of their total with 18 runs. A good cricket match overall.

A special mention to Ben Cilliers who walked away from the festival as the leading wicket taker.

CLIFTON: 143/4 (20 overs)

Ben Cilliers 1/15

Matthew Norton 1/17

NORTHWOOD: 125/6 (20 overs)
